Private Client Dinner at Kartel Wine Bar, Shanghai

On Wednesday, May 10th, Austen Morris Associates held a private client dinner at Kartel, one of Shanghai’s finest French restaurants and wine bars.
In total, twenty-five specially invited guests—new and old—attended the event, including longtime supporter Simon Murray of Hansard Global PLC, who co sponsored the evening with AMA. The event was hosted by Austen Morris Associates senior partner, Jon Holand, and supported by consultant Thomas Kien, business development consultant Trenton Creamer.

Established in 2011, the experience itself has quickly become a must-see locale for wine lovers in all of Shanghai, and is especially well known for its unique 360-degree panoramic rooftop terrace. This beautiful venue comes complete with a hugely eclectic wine cellar.
The weather was perfect, especially as the delightful pre-prandial aperitifs served with Pierre Gimonnet et Fils – Cuvée Cuis 1er Cru champagne, were enjoyed on Kartel’s open-air rooftop terrace.

The sommelier did not hold back, the meal was exquisitely paired with Michel Redde – ‘Le Petit Fume’ Pouilly-Fumé; Chateau de Maligny – Chablis Premier Cru; Aegerter – Bourgogne Pinot Noir, and Chateau de Saint-Pey – Saint Emilion Grand Cru. One of our guests was so impressed with the wine that they purchased a case of the Michel Redde ‘La Petit Fume’ on the spot!
The dinner was a true reflection of Austen Morris Associates’ long tradition of servicing clients from a wide range of nationalities, professions and backgrounds, and was our way of giving thanks to everyone that has shown loyalty and support over the years. Suffice to say, everyone had a wonderful evening.
